Blogging running

Confessions of a new/old blogger

August 24, 2019

So, I did a thing! I upgraded my free WordPress blog site and am now the proud owner of my very own webpage! Yeah and yikes! After copious amounts of research, I went with Bluehost to secure my domain name and switch over my old site to my new one. That part was pretty easy! Check!

Figuring out all the new things that come with this new site…well…that’s going to take a little more time. So, if you randomly see things change, it’s me making adjustments and tinkering with all these new tools. So many tools. Thankfully, Bluehost has great customer service. Yes, I have already contacted them with questions.

You know this blogging thing is hard. It’s not just having something to write about. It’s also engaging your audience. Having a page that is eye appealing. Keeping and growing your audience. Figuring out how to drive them to your website. Oh man, I’ve read so much trying to get ready for this part but I don’t think you can be totally prepared. There are so many things to think about. All you can do is give it a shot and keep improving.

I like blogging. It kinda goes hand in hand with training. If it doesn’t work, you try something else. I did that this morning. I got up early and got my run in before I took Twinkletoes to school. So much better. Did I sweat, heck yeah. Did I feel like I was going to die, not at all. Good idea! And, it was a beautiful morning!

So, you’re never stuck in a specific website or time of day to run. Be courageous to try different things. Even if you have to use and alarm that scares you to death! (That’s me!)

Until next time, keep on truckin’!
