Hi, my name is Robin and I love to run. I may not be fast, I may not be able to run long distances, but I’m trying! The 2013 Princess Half weekend was the start to my running adventure. While it was only the 5k, it was awesome and I was hooked. The difficulty that I have is that work just gets in the way. I have to, like many, run early in the morning. I am eagerly awaiting the time change just so I can reroute my run!
My mom, daughter, and I – 2013
So lets start at the beginning. I played golf all my life and was fortunate enough to play for Auburn University, yes, I’m an Auburn Tiger and I loved every minute. When I told my college coach that I had started running, she looked at me like I was crazy. I hated to run then but I’m not sure how much I could have done then with some injuries that I had. After my senior year, I had foot surgery and that added to my already messed up feet. I’m very flat footed with not much padding in my midfoot and I pronate. Not a good combo. Each day I run now, no matter how far, I use my KT tape. I think it helps physically, but I know it does mentally.
Oh, and I do have a family. I have been happily married for 11 years to an amazing man (Mr. Man). Where’d we meet? At the golf course, of course! Where’d we get married? Disney, duh! We have an 8 year old daughter (Twinkle Toes) who loves to dance. She loves Disney just as much as I do!
Sometimes she runs with me, which is nice!

Well, that’s enough for now. Gotta get dinner ready!
Until next time…keep on truckin’!
