Oh Friday! 4th and 5th edition

Well, I forgot my post last week. Whoops! I’m attempting to stick to my training plan but being under the weather will crimp that style quite quickly. Last week I did get in a few decent runs. This week has been better. I’ve gotten some runs in and had a good, speedier run on the treadmill yesterday. Have a 5 miler planned for tomorrow and a 3 miler on Sunday.

I’m altering my schedule a bit as I have a race next weekend. I am running in a big race in our area. The Double Bridge run 15k. This will be my longest race and I’m a little nervous. It has a beautiful route starting in Downtown Pensacola then travels over the 3mile bridge into Gulf Breeze.

The last leg takes you through Gulf Breeze passing the beautiful Pensacola Beach sign and finally over a steep bridge, the Bob Sykes bridge.

And then onto the finish line at Quietwater Beach Boardwalk. I’ll be thrilled to see the big shell on the boardwalk and my family.

My goal…to simply finish.

After that the family will be getting ready for the Princess Half weekend. We will be participating in the 5k (mom, Twinkle Toes, and I), 10k (mom and I), and Twinkle Toes is running her first kids miler! It’ll be a jammed packed weekend. We are so looking forward to it!! We love Disney and runDisney!
