The Day After Christmas

December 26, 2019

I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas! We had a great one. When I was little it seemed like this time of year would last forever. Now, it’s already the day after Christmas.

I find it interesting how Christmas morning changes as your teenager gets older. There’s a part of me that misses the super early Christmas mornings. These days, Mr. Man and I wake up and hang out until she wakes up. There’s no more tracking Santa the night before or leaving cookies out. It just means new traditions and fun new times are here!

While waiting for Twinkletoes to wake up, I could have gone out for a walk. That would have passed the time, right? Did I? No, nope, nada. I hung out on the couch with Mr. Man and drank coffee. It was nice to have him home during the week. Once she woke up and my parents arrived, it was time for breakfast and presents!

So What’s up next?

This morning we’re going to meet my parents for breakfast. They’re headed home today. After that, I’m going to head out for a brisk walk. My hip is not having any running so I’m saving it for the marathon since we’re so close. I’m excited about the marathon but am nervous too. It’s going to be very interesting but I’m determined to finish.

Wisdom Teeth…

I have to get a few miles in today since I’m not sure how the rest of the week will go. Twinkletoes is having her wisdom teeth removed tomorrow. She’s nervous. Praying that all goes well and no dry sockets! I had mine out when I was 17 years old. So a long time ago. We are stocked with ice cream, soup, and protein shakes. Hopefully, she’ll be able to eat some pasta after a few days. But knowing her, she will stick with the ice cream as long as possible!

What was your favorite part of Christmas this year? Did you receive or give something special?

Until next time, keep on truckin’!
