Week in Rewind

What impossible did you overcome?

September 9, 2019

I decided to start doing a week in rewind since I have my goals out in the universe! You know, for that thing called…accountability. Whoa, that’s a loaded word, accountability. Have you ever looked up the definition of accountability?

an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one’s actions (according to Merriam-Webster)

So, how am I doing with my September goals now that it’s 9 days in? Weeelll…good on some and the biggest one I’m falling down on is tracking my food. I find it hard to track when you cook at home. If you have any tips, PLEASE, let me know! I just want to make sure that I have a good balance of protein and carbs for training.

I did do some fun new stuff this past week. We joined a country club that has a great gym with fitness classes along with the regular gym equipment. Yeah!!

My Week in Rewind

  • Monday – Walked 2.10 miles and played golf with the hubby
  • Tuesday – Ran 3.03 miles
  • Wednesday – Rode the bike 4.5 miles and Total Toning class
  • Thursday – Ran 2.81 miles and went to cycle class
  • Friday – Rode the bike 7.57 miles and went to Total Toning class
  • Saturday – I had a scheduled 11 mile run but my body had a different plan for me. Saturday night was my daughter’s first concert! Hootie and the Blowfish and the Barenaked Ladies. AMAZING! We got home around 11:15 pm. I had all my gear laid out and ready to go run with the group but decided to get a little extra sleep and was going to run around our home. So, I woke up at 5:45 am and fell back asleep and was woken up at 9:00 am by my husband. Obviously, my body needed that sleep.
  • Sunday – Golf with the hubby

I had a great time in the classes and am looking forward to this week’s classes! I plan on adding a few extra miles in on Saturday’s run to compensate for the missed long run. But, I’m not too stressed about it since we still have a way to go.

So, what do you do when you miss a long run? I take all kinds of advice. Good knowledge is power.

Until next time, keep on truckin’!
