Wow! What a week! From the doctor’s office to a visit with friends and family, it was a great one! This week in rewind had it’s ups and downs but it was more up than down.
I participated in a 5k that I have wanted to do for years! Last weekend was the Greater Gulf Coast Arts Festival back in Pensacola. Twinkletoes and her dance center that she danced with before we moved always danced during the festival (and they still do!), so we went back to surprise them! Since she wasn’t dancing, I got to enjoy the Great Pumpkin 5k!
Here’s the bad part…
So, I mentioned the doctor’s visit…it went the best it could go. The pesky hip is bursitis and tight IT band. She’s sending me to PT and recommending me to get orthotics for my shoes (which I need and haven’t had in years). So for the 5k, I was so hoping to run it but I settled for walking. It was a chilly morning so my walk was quick!
But here’s the great part!
The course was fun and had some hills! I saw some of my friends and it was great! I hurried back home to get dressed to go to the arts festival to let the fun begin! We got downtown and surprised everyone! It was so good to see all of our friends! The girls danced beautifully! And the weather was amazing!
So what did I do the rest of the week?
- Monday – Rode 9.93 miles on the bike before Total Toning class. Did some stretching and rolling. My hip felt pretty good today!
- Tuesday – Ran 3.0 and no real pain So more stretching. More rolling.
- Wednesday – Rode 14.10 miles. No class today. Went to the doctor about my hip to see what she says. More rolling. More stretching.
- Thursday – Rode 10.08 miles and yep and then some stretching and rolling. Then some candy passing out for Halloween!
- Friday – Today I rode the new Peloton bike! It was tough! I rode 7.15 miles and then went home to get some stuff done before we got on the road.
- Saturday – Participated in The Great Pumpkin Run 5k! So much fun! And then time with friends and family!
- Sunday – Travel day! Got home in time to get Twinkletoes ready for dance. Then it was meal planning time and time to get ready for the week!
Well now what?
I’m dying to decorate for Christmas! I’m trying to wait until the weekend to at least only put the garland around the mantle and on the banister. Wait…I have a banister to decorate! I’ve never had a banister to decorate! But guess what, the Christmas music is on in the car already!
Did you know that there are 6 less days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year? When do you put your Christmas decorations up?
I hope you all have a great week! Until next time, keep on truckin’!
